eCommerce

E-commerce offers significant business opportunities for Pakistani youth by enabling them to explore new marketplaces and sell products and services globally. Registering Pakistani exporters on Amazon is a key step, providing a vital platform for trade promotion.

Freelancing exports during 2020-21 amounted to $396 million, expecting to reach $500 million by June 2022, showcasing Pakistan’s potential in global marketplaces. However, skill gaps hinder the effective use of Amazon. To address this, the Government of Pakistan is investing in e-commerce. As part of the Prime Minister’s initiative, NAVTTC has developed a two-month “Amazon (Virtual Assistant)” course with input from academia, industry experts, and other stakeholders. Offered free to 100,000 individuals, the course aims to equip participants with the skills needed to succeed on Amazon.
