Education Reforms for a Better Pakistan

Education is necessary for a nation's development, while addressing the audience in this ceremony, the guests expressed their views on "Educational Reforms for a Better Pakistan". DCO Kasur, Mr. Saeed Akhtar Ansari, highlighted the efforts made by the government for Educational reforms in his speech at TLS. 22nd April 2007 was a very important date in The Learning School's history. The administration arranged the 4th & 5th Annual day, with the theme "Educational Reforms for a Better Pakistan". More than one thousand citizens and eight hundred students of The Learning School attended this beautiful event.

Human Rights on the Eyes of Children, 09 Jan 07

TLS arranged the Human Rights Day on the Eyes of Children on 9th January 2007 where all students of the school participated. The children prepared the posters on several topics and displayed their charts on the ropes in beautiful style. Dr. Samia Amjad, MPA Punjab was the chief guest of the event. After the posters competition, the seminar was conducted where students performed different plays on the topic.

Community of Responsive Educators, 5-14 May 06, India

The Learning School arranged a Training Workshop for sixteen of its staff members on ‘Working together to Build a Community of Responsive Educators', at Dev Samaj College of Education, Chandigarh (India). This workshop was conducted from 5th May to 14th May 2006.

The training was very successful and the delegates were able to meet many important personalities including Shri I. K. Gujral (former Indian Prime Minister), Ms Suman Krishan Kant (wife of former Vice President of India, Shri Krishan Kant), Mr Kant's Mother who was 102 year old (as both of the ladies are working on social sector), and Prof. K.N. Pathak, Vice Chancellor of Punjab University, Chandigarh.

Love Books Funfair

Love Books was the slogan of arranging a book fair (Kitab Mela) from 26th to 28th February 2005 at The Learning School, and the practical demonstration by arranging a marvelous book fair by the teaching staff and strong back up of Tls administration and team of Trustees proved it and gave this dream a realization.

It was first time in the history of Kot Radha Kishen that a big and tremendous book was held with a great success. The purpose of this book fair was to bring awareness on the importance of books not only for the students of the school but among the rank and file of all the fields and even get all types of books on cheap rates.

TLS students visit Islamabad

“Have we proved true to our national patriotic passion and Quaid’s vision” was the question, which flashed across the minds of students while leaving the National Assembly.

As an endeavor to provide the students with an opportunity to realize the verbal facts of their books and to relax and enjoy in the pleasing atmosphere of federal capital of Pakistan,The Learning School, Kot Radha Kishen arrange a visit of its students to Islamabad on April 25-28, 2004. The group was comprised of 35 students of class 8 & 9 and 4 teachers of the school. Boarding on the air-conditioned coaches the students bloomed up with jubilant excitement.

Education on Tolerance & Peace - 28 Nov 03

Kot Radha Kishen Development Trust organized a colourfull and creative funfair in The Learning School on 27th November 2003 to preach the message of love, tolerance, peace, harmony and patience among the people of the vicinity belonging to all fields of life. The Learning School Kot Radha Kishen under KDT is playing its role in a unique way by starting the project of “Education on Tolerance and Peace”. The basic aim of the school is to highlight and evoke the creative abilities of the children in such a way that they would become the messenger of Tolerance and Peace and holistically promote the culture of patience, forbearance, temperament and tolerance.
