Aine attended two weeks Seminar in Germany

TLS is proud that Ms Quratul Aen, Senior English Teacher, attended the Seminar on Human & Civil Rights at International Academy for Leadership, Gummbersbach, Germany from 29th to 10th December 2009. There were Twenty-two participants, from 19 countries, who took part in the conference. The participants came from the regions of Asia, Africa, Middle East and Russia.

Green Day at TLS

Green Colour Day was celebrated on December 18, 2009. This activity was celebrated in the Montessori section. All the students collected green leaves from the school orchard and made very attractive head bands with them. They also found out different shades of green colour from the orchard. Students also made a presentation

on the activity and told that it is secondary colour which is combination of blue and yellow. Green colour represents life and growth.

Orange Colour Day

On December 8, 2009, Orange colour day was celebrated in the school. This activity was celebrated in the Montessori section. The students of class nursery made the models of orange with clay and painted them with the help of teachers. Students of class KG made wrist watches of orange colour and wore it. Some students gave presentations about colour.

Communication Skills for Teachers

Seven staff members of The Learning School attended two days Workshop on communication, learning, teaching need self-responsibility arranged by the Friedrich Naumann Stiftung für die Freiheit on 14-15 November 2009 at Lahore. Mr Olaf Kellerhoff, Resident Representative of the FNF were the Moderator and Ms Gulmina Bilal was the Resource Persons for the opening session.

Teachers day Celebrations at TLS

Teachers' day is celebrated on 5th October every year. This year, Dr. Noor Ahmad Akhtar, Chairman Kot Radha Kishan Development Trust and Sheikh Shokat Ali, Treasurer Trust visited school and addressed to the students about the respect of teachers. They gave the examples of Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Sallah Allah ho Wa Alehe Wasalam) who had been proud to be a teacher.

Chairman, Kot Radha Kishen Development trust also announced Rs.10,000 cash prize for Ms. Qurat-ul-Ain who was declared the best teacher of the year on the basis of her best performance in the curricular as well as extra curricular activities.

Rida Zeynab got 2nd Position in Punjab

Rida Zeynab was the best student of the year at TLS during 2009 and she further proved it at English Essay Writing Competition at Punjab Level, where she got the 2nd Position. Earlier at Lahore Divisonal level competition in Secondary English Essay Writing, she got the 1st Position. Other briallent student of TLS, Mr Awais Khalid of 8th Class

also won the 1st Position at Lahore Division level in English Essary Writing at middle level. Mr Awais Khalid last year won the 1st Position at Punjab level in English Essay Writing. Muhammad Musab, student of 8th class got the 3rd position at Lahore divison level in English Speech competition.
