Aine attended two weeks Seminar in Germany

TLS is proud that Ms Quratul Aen, Senior English Teacher, attended the Seminar on Human & Civil Rights at International Academy for Leadership, Gummbersbach, Germany from 29th to 10th December 2009. There were Twenty-two participants, from 19 countries, who took part in the conference. The participants came from the regions of Asia, Africa, Middle East and Russia.

The workshop was conducted in order to give insights into human and civil rights. The workshop comprised of working group discussions, open discussions, presentations, role plays and study tours. Mr Stefen Melnik and Gulmina Bilal, Director Individualland were the moderators and it is worth to mentioned that both are close friends of The Learning School.

Friedrich Naumann Stiftung für die Freiheit arranged an international conference on the topic "Human and Civil Rights - a political perspective" at Theodor-Heuss-Akademie, Gummarsbach. The conference was tactfully carried out by two expert facilitators Dr. Stefan Melnik and Gulmina Bilal. Martin Muller performed as an efficient assistant. The conference was facilitated by two proficient English and Spanish translators Ana Maria Marin Diez and Pillar Brennan. There were Twenty-two participants, from 19 countries, who took part in the conference. The participants came from the regions of Asia, Africa, Middle East and Russia. The workshop was conducted in order to give insights into human and civil rights. The workshop comprised of working group discussions, open discussions, presentations, role plays and study tours.

During the workshop invaluable views were shared among the participants from all around the world. The workshop provided an international platform for the exchange of ideas. The workshop touched upon varied significant human rights issues which were both critical and controversial. Moreover, violations of human rights were also discussed in order to find out some solutions.

Earlier KDT declared her best teacher of the school for the year 2009 due to her best performance to prepare the students in matriculate exam results and for preparing the students of Punjab Chief Minister's Essay Writing and Debates Competition. Her selection was approved by Friedrich-Naumann-Stiftung fuer die Freiheit for representing the Pakistan in the Seminar.
