Children Awareness & Education

Children should be fully aware of the politics and the rapid developments being made throughout the world, specially our beloved nation. It is essential because these young souls will be molding the fate of our nation tomorrow.

A quiz program was held at The Learning School on April 30th, 2009 to spread this awareness among the students. The faculty divided the students fairly into two categories: The Senior Group consisting of students from the fifth grade to the tenth grade, and the Junior Group, composed of students below the fifth grade at the school.

Further classification resulted in the students being divided into four houses, which were named after Sir Syed Ahmad khan, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Allama Muhammad Iqbal, and Muhammad Ali Johar, some of the major organs of the Pakistani movement. A very interesting competition followed. In the end, Mr Olaf Kellerhoff, Resident Representative Friedrich-Naumann-Stiftung für die Freiheit who was the chief guest of the event, gave away the prizes.

He stated that he was pleased with the steps taken by the management of the institution to spread awareness amongst the children in the society. Other special guests included Ms Munazza Batool, Project Coordinator at FNF, and Ms Ines Budarick, a German Intern working at FNF Pakistan office. The effort proved to be a complete success.
